Like many educational institutions you’re probably looking at how you can take advantage of cloud technologies. Microsoft and Google can help enhance your students learning experience, reduce IT expenditure and in turn lower your carbon footprint. Today we are sold on the Cloud, but it does come with its challenges:

Disparate learning resources
Our learning resources are more disparate than ever with documents in OneDrive, Google Drive, resources that are only available in school and great learning tools on the web. How can we collect resources from multiple locations and present them in an environment that anyone can access on any device? Using TileAcademy Hub you can create a visually rich and engaging web page. We call this a collection, where you can pin digital resources such as files, images, websites and videos. When you are happy, you can share this collection with your students, colleagues, parents or publish it to community so anyone can see your amazing work.

Saving work to the Cloud
How can you save your work to the Cloud from applications that don’t support OneDrive and Google Drive? Using TileAcademy Files, you can access your documents from one place regardless of where they are. Our website allows you to access your OneDrive data alongside that stored in Google Drive and it can even allow you to view files stored in school. Even better, you can present your cloud storage directly as a local drive. By doing this, applications that cannot natively save to the Cloud can simply save to your local drive and TileAcademy will upload the file immediately. This is fantastic for organisations where individual cloud synchronisation does not work.

Multiple usernames and passwords
We access lots of websites, many of which require us to remember usernames and passwords to get in. TileAcademy Flex stores your credentials and encrypts them in the Cloud. This allows you to automatically sign in to other websites without needing to remember your username and password. Using our single-sign-on solution you can log in to TileAcademy once and have access to any other platform without ever needing to enter another password. You can also secure your access using multi-factor authentication to provide an additional layer of security to your resources.
tileacademy apps
Accessing resources at school
And finally, how to access applications that cannot be accessed in the Cloud. Many of these are key to your lessons, but they can only be accessed in school. TileAcademy Apps can present any application inside a Web Browser which immediately makes it available to staff and students whether they are in school or at home. Imagine accessing your student management system from your iPad or even a Chromebook.
