Last Friday, the Westcoast and Microsoft Tour Bus came to the Medhurst offices, and a number of clients joined us on board to see Windows 8, the new Office and the range of devices they are used with, in action.
Apps are at the heart of Windows 8 and it features many built-in apps for the things that users do the most: email, sorting calendars, social networking and sharing. It brings all information together in one place, including easy-to-use cloud-connected services, meaning that you can be connected to the files and apps you need, wherever you are working.
The new look of Windows and the new app model also makes it easier for schools and businesses to create their own line of businesses apps to help improve productivity.
Windows 8 offers the experiences that users love while delivering enterprise-grade capabilities that IT departments need. Windows 8 improves on Windows 7 fundamentals like speed, reliability, security and with its new smooth start screen, Windows 8 provides instant access to contacts, emails, apps so you will spend less time searching.
We hope you all enjoyed the hands-on experience sessions and if you’d like more information on how Windows 8 can bring your school systems together and how the new Office will create a more productive environment for your school, please get in contact with the Medhurst Education Team on 01489 563000 or via email on education@medhurst-IT.com.
