On Wednesday 18th November 2015, we hosted our latest ICT in Education Seminar in a packed Chicago Suite at the Microsoft Campus in Reading. Attended by nearly a hundred head teachers, network and ICT managers from schools across the region, the event hosted technology update sessions from specialist education ICT staff at Microsoft, HPE and Medhurst.
Following registration and breakfast, delegates were welcomed to the event by Medhurst Managing Director Charlie Baynes and Steve Beswick, Senior Director Education, Microsoft. You can see Steve’s presentation here
Stefano Frota, Product Marketing Manager, Office 365, Microsoft opened the seminar sessions with a solution update on how to get the most from the Office 365 Cloud service
This was followed by a presentation from Robert Epstein, Windows Marketing Director on what Windows 10 means for education including a high level MDM narrative.
Just before lunch, Medhurst’s Software Development Director, Scott Weedon introduced Medhurst’s Tile Academy, an extension to the Medhurst Dashboard solution.
After lunch, Paul Morrison, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Education Segment Lead UK and Ireland, gave the delegates an update on the latest news from HP Corporate.
The seminar was brought to an end by Dave Bartlett, Technical Director at Medhurst who gave a technical demonstration on what’s new for Hyper-V and Failover Clustering in Server 2016 and proactive monitoring of your server and services infrastructure using System Center Operations Manager.
