• Richard Blunden joins Medhurst to Promote Benefits of Cloud

    IT veteran Richard Blunden has joined Medhurst as a Cloud specialist to promote the benefits of cloud computing to the company’s education and commercial clients. With over 21 years experience working in a number of diverse public sector and commercial IT environments, Richard will be working with the cloud team to market The Medhurst Dashboard, a secure private cloud solution enabling users to deliver software applications to all staff whether on or offsite.

    Richard Blunden comments, “I’m excited to be working with Medhurst and their cloud solutions. In my new role, I’m going to be talking to clients about how they can take advantage of the increased security and flexibility that cloud technology offers, without the need to maintain hardware and software onsite.  With the Medhurst Dashboard, users can access their Windows applications through any HTML5 compatible browser, providing users with the flexibility to deliver their applications to a large range of devices, both desktop and mobile.”

    Previously the Senior IT Systems Manager at d’Overbroeck’s College Oxford and before that the IT Manager at the Royal Agricultural College, Richard has been responsible for the  IT Infrastructure, server management and application integrations across both colleges. His Microsoft server and application experience includes Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, SCCM, Hyper-V and SQL.

    Richard has also owned his own IT consultancy working with Microsoft, helping SMEs to get the best from their IT resources. Richard started his IT career as a Senior Systems Instructor and Trainer Manager at Aris Education and CTEC, training companies on Microsoft Technologies and Microsoft Office Applications.

    Richard holds a PhD in Genetics.
